Once the wood is the right size glue the inward facing side and then press it into place. If the wood filler and dowels do not fix the broken door hinge problem switch the hinge screws with screws that are the same diameter and 2 inches or 3 inches in length as the hinge screws may. This may include covering over any wood stains left by the hinge.
Open the door wide and insert a wedge under the bottom outside corner to level it.
